With classic princess seams front and back, that end in loose, inverted pleats in the back, the coat is the perfect silhouette for dressy or everyday occasions. Make this versatile pattern in your choice of fabrics from linen to velveteen according to your taste. The coat is lined.
Variations include a large, round "bertha" collar which may be trimmed with lace or pleated ribbon, as well as a larger cape. The cape may be made lined or unlined and features a scalloped edge that may be trimmed with lace if you like. It ties at the front with ribbons.
