You need to make this Midriff Sun Suit!  Anne Cabot pattern 5173 to sew the fabulous Midriff top and shorts shown on the pattern instruction sheet.  This is a mail order pattern.
Vintage:  envelope is not dated. Most likely from the late 1940's to early 1950's. According to the instructions the pieces are cut to size 18, the "o-o" dots are cutting lines for 14, and if the user wanted size 16, to cut between the edge and the "o-o" lines. I think it's still size 18, but I took a picture of the edge of one of the pieces.  And I measured the waistband pieces.  Back shorts band is 9, but it would be doubled;"  the front shorts band is 18." Bra band is 22."  Shorts pieces are 15" from top of waist to hem.
Condition: Pattern is not printed.  It appears to be used, but it is complete. The envelope is tattered and has writing on the back.  The transfer pieces are missing, but there are some plain paper on which the images were traces.  I would copy those, and use a transfer pencil to trace the images to transfer on the fabric.  However this midriff sun suit would be awesome even without the transfer!
